National Film, Video & Sound Archives

Located in Jos, the NFVSA serves as the national repository for Nigeria’s audiovisual materials, preserving over 20,000 archival works documenting Nigeria’s social, cultural, and political evolution dating back to colonial era.

The preservation of the audio-visual history of our country cannot be over-emphasized. The National Film, Video and Sound is a member of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF). The NFVSA recently designated as the National Audio-visual repository for the country has benefitted from several and routine training for staff members, including those of year 2025.
