The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) was established under Decree No. 61 of 1979 to develop a viable and sustainable film industry and cinema culture in Nigeria. Under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, NFC serves as the central governmental agency for the Nigerian film industry.
